#67 Cheese Balls

Cheese Balls , an attractive snack that most kids love. This can be easily tried in an home made flavor and still compete with any commercial version.

I have added a bit of health factor to spice it up with Sweet Corn as well.

I am sure and I hope this would be one of your most frequently tried snack after reading the post.

Who wouldn't miss trying the melting cheese with cracking  crunchy fried balls with essential tastes that test your taste buds 🙂

 

Ingredients:

Potato           - 3 Medium sized

Sweet Corn   - 2 tbsp

Grated Cheese - 50 gms (1/3 cup)

Coriander seeds - 2 tsp

Red Chili        - 3/4 tsp (flakes)

Black Pepper  - 1/4 tsp ( Crushed)

Dried Oregano - 1/2 tsp

Corn flour - 3 tbsp

All Purpose flour - 2 tbsp

Mozzarella cheese cubes  -10 to 15 .

Oil - For deep fry ( I used Sun Flower Oil)

Salt - As per taste

Water

Bread Crums  - 100 gms  or more ( to dip & roll mix balls)

For Ball Mix Preparation:

Boil the potatoes for 3 whistles .  Then Peel it, mash it and keep it aside.

Grate the cheese ( Mozzarella with a sprinkle of salt to taste) and keep it aside.

Crush the Red Chili, Black Pepper & coriander seeds in a coarse.

Take a bowl and add mashed potatoes.

Mix the above contents with dried oregano, sweet corn as well.

Add 1 tbsp of Corn flour and salt for taste.

Mix again well.

Take a plate and spread the Bread scrums and keep it aside.

Steps:

Take a bowl and add 2 tbsp of Corn Flour.

Add 2 tbsp of All Purpose ( Maida) flour.

Add water to the flour and make it into a smooth batter.

Now take the ball mix made from above steps and make it into a lemon sized balls.

Then, flatten the round ball , keep a cheese cube at the middle and close the ball evenly without any crack.

Now, dip the ball in the batter .

Then, roll the dipped ball onto the bread scrums  well so that the entire dipped ball is covered with bread scrums without any gap.

Repeat this process until you finish of making balls with the mix .

Now keep the balls in the freezer for 1 hour.

After 1 hour, Take a pan and pour oil for deep fry.

Take the Frozen cheese balls keep it aside as the oil gets heated.

Now, take the balls one by one and deep fry it until the ball turns golden brown to a crunchy look.

Take it out and keep side.

Wow!! You can notice now that the crunchy Cheese Balls are ready to grab. No more waiting time. Serve hot with Tomato Sauce , slight melt cheese & Vegan Mayo if you get.
