#68 Macaroni Cheese Pasta

Kids always like colorful,attractive cheesy and tend to eat them more. Probably the digital exposure to billboards & visuals are crystal clear now a days with new colour combinations make them so attractive than last generation. One such dish is  Pasta. If you noticed, most of the pasta posters are zoomed and the melting cheese on it is really attractive. So I had a thought on making one such Pasta with slight Indian touch

Ingredients: -

Macaroni Pasta    - 250 gms

Olive oil                 - 1 tbsp

Green Capsicum - 15 small cubes

Onion                     - 1 (medium size)

Sweet corn            - 50 gms

Garlic                     - 2 cloves fine chopped

Water                    - 700 ml

Salt                        - as needed

  • Keep a Sauce pan add 700 ml of water let it starts to boil.

  • Add ½ tsp of salt and ¼ tsp of olive oil in the water.

  • After water starts boil and the 250 gms of Macaroni in it.

  • Boil the Macaroni for 12 to 15 mins

  • After Macaroni got cooked strain it in the Strainer.

  • Wash in a running water for 2 or 3 times.
  • Keep it separate.

Now toss the veg

  • Take a kadai add 1 tbsp of olive oil.

  • After it got heated add fine chopped garlic. Saute it for 2 min.

  • Then add green capsicum and saute it.

  • Add onion and cook for 3 min then add the sweet corn and add salt saute it for 5 min in low fire.

  • Keep the kadai separate.


Maida (all purpose flour)    - 1 ½ tbsp

Milk                                         - 300 ml

Butter                                      - 2 tbsp

Black pepper                          - 1 tsp

Mozzarella cheese                - 100 gms

Pasta seasoning           - 1 ½ tsp

Salt                                 - a pinch

How to make White Sauce

  • Take a thick bottom sauce pan heat it in the low flame


  • Add 2 tbsp of butter. Melt it. (without turning black)

  • After that add 1 ½ tbsp Maida. Mix it well in the butter.

  • Add 200ml of milk and mix them well without any lumps.

  • It will turn like a batter.

  • In that add black pepper and pasta seasoning and mix the herbs well.

  • Then add 100 gms of Mozzarella cheese mix it. It gets melted and become thick.

  • Once again add 100 ml of milk mix it well.

Note: -

I am using salted butter so I never add salt. If you are using unsalted butter add salt.

Final Steps for Pasta :

Please add salt in the White Sauce.

The creamy White Sauce is ready to mix it with Pasta.

  1. In the vegetable kadai add the strained Pasta mix it with vegetables.

2. Then add little by little amount of White Sauce in it.

3 .Mix gently.

Now the Cheesy yummy Macaroni Pasta is ready to serve.


If you want add Mozzarella Cheese in the top feel free to add. But this White Sauce itself too Cheesy. So I did not add.
