Grand mothers are always special to us. Our journey of life with them always had pleasant memories right from our toddler days. My grand mom is also so special to me . One of my favorite  sweet from her was Sweet Potato Susiyam.  I miss her a lot.  You believe it or not, this recipe , I am writing now is just based on my watching many times when she prepared for me whenever I visited her and my taste buds still longing for it.

As I grew up, I often jump into kitchen with my mom and kept trying to get the same style as my grandma did.

Susiyam is a traditional snack that we all prepare during festive seasons and many would not have tried this variety of Sweet Potato. Often , Susiyam is prepared with Kadalai paruppu (channa Daal) Pooranam. Most western baby foods encourage feeding sweet potato in the form of mashed or creamy soup or chips.
