Sweet Corn Gravy is another simple side dish and very unique . This can be prepared in 15 to 20 minutes if you are ready with the ingredients. This goes well with Chapahthi/Roti or Jeera Rice.
Ingredients:
Coconut (Grated) - 4 tbsp
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
RedChilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Onion - 1 big
Tomato -2 ( small)
Garlic - 5 cloves
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Cashew nuts - 5 Nos
Bay leaf - 2 Nos
Cinnamon - 1 small piece
Clove - 1 small
Butter - 4 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Sweet Corn - 2 cup( frozen)
Salt - As per taste
water - 1 cup
Method:
Take a pan and heat in a medium flame.
Add Bay leaf, cinnamon,cloves,cashew nuts,onion, ginger,garlic.
Fry the above contents in a medium flame for 3 minutes.
Now add tomato and cook for 7 minutes .
Now add salt,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coconut and stir well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Let the pan cool for 15 minutes.
Take a mixer jar and grind it as a fine paste.
Transfer the paste onto the pan and add 1 cup of water. ( you can add more if need the gravy to be more liquid)
Now add the sweet corn and boil in medium flame for 10 minutes.
Add 1 tbsp of butter and switch off the flame.
Tempting delicious & Yummy corn gravy is ready to serve.
Note:
I used frozen corn so that it can boil quickly.
