#10 Tomato-Carrot Soup

Tomato-Carrot Soup is a healthy and easy soup variety.This variant carries an unique sweetness from Carrot along with Onions. Tomatoes contribute a slight Soupy tanginess.

This soup serving fits for all seasons.

 

Ingredients:

  1. Carrots          - 2 Medium sized.
  2. Tomatoes     - 2 Medium sized.
  3. Onion           -1 Medium sized.
  4. Garlic           - 3 to 4 cloves
  5. Jeera Powder - 1/2 tbsp.
  6. Black Pepper - 3 pinches.
  7. Butter              - 1 tbsp.
  8. Cummin powder-1 tbsp.
  9. Salt                   - as needed.
  10. Water              - 2 cups.

Method:

  1. Rinse the Veggies first with fresh water.
  2. Peel the Carrots,garlic and onion .
  3. Chop the veggies to get ready for steam cooking.                                                 
  4. In a pressure cooker, add the veggies , chopped garlic and water.                    
  5. Pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles. Then keep aside to get the pressure down.
  6. Once the vegetables become warm, blend with a hand blender or using any other electronic blender until the veggies become smooth.
  7. Heat 1/2 tbsp of Butter  and cummin powder with salt.
  8. Stir for few seconds and then transfer the blended veggie smoothie into this pan.
  9. Sim cook the tomato carrot soup for 3 minutes.
  10. Add Black Pepper powder and 1/2 tbsp of butter and serve it hot.
